Along with the Rising Floor Standards, we provide practical tools to help the dance community apply higher standards in real-world settings.

This includes downloadable resources such as a Code of Conduct template for events, example partnership and teaching contracts, and guidance documents addressing live issues in the community, including fair pay, professional boundaries, and safe event practices.

These Standards and resources are developed through ongoing consultation, feedback, and lived experience across different scenes and regions. As the conversation evolves, so will the tools. Our aim is not to create static documents, but to provide working frameworks that can be adapted, improved, and put into action.

 Rising Floor believes real change in dance culture does not happen in isolation. 

 We are building a global network of organizers, teachers, collectives, and community leaders who are committed to raising standards around fair pay, safety, professional conduct, and accountability. These principles reflect internationally recognized frameworks, such as those outlined in the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the UN Women’s principles for gender equality and fair treatment in the workplace, but our work is grounded in the lived realities of partner dance communities. 

Rising Floor is here to amplify collective efforts, not compete. We are proud to collaborate with other individuals and organizations who are already doing the work and who want to make ethical expectations clearer, more consistent, and more visible across the scene.
