What It Means to Join

  • You commit to upholding the Rising Floor Standards that apply to your role, and to welcome feedback and accountability

  • You will receive a Rising Floor digital badge to display on your website, social media, or event materials

  • You will be part of a visible, growing network of professionals, festivals, and educators committed to raising the floor for everyone

  • If you are registered under the Organizer or Teacher category, you will be listed publicly on our website under your role in the public Member Directory. 

    (We do not currently display individual dancers on the list in the member directory.)

Who Can Join

  • Organizers (of festivals, events and performance or taxi teams) 

  • Teachers 

  • Dancers

What We Ask of You

  • That you read and agree to the standards that apply to your role

  • That you read and agree to the Rules of The Organization. These rules include information on the following:
    • Membership
    • Use of the Rising Floor Badge
    • Code of Conduct
    • Complaints Process
  • That you are honest and transparent in your application. The application process is set out below.

  • That you are open to growth and feedback

  • That you uphold these values in both public and behind-the-scenes


 

 

Application Process

There are three different application processes:

1. Organizers

Organizers are required to make an application to join Rising Floor. The application includes writing a short personal statement that will be published in the member directory, if approved.

Organizers Application Process

  1. Please make sure you have read and agree to the standards that apply to the organizer category. 

  2. Prepare a short personal statement that shows how you will uphold your agreement to the relevant standards. This will be published in the Member Directory so that those who work or learn with you understand your terms and values.

  3. The personal statement can be submitted with your application in Word or PDF format. Sample personal statements can be found here.

  4. Our team will review your application. If it is successful, we will email you a payment link to pay your membership fee.  

  5. Once your payment has been made, our team will send you your digital badge and other information relating to your membership and add your name to the public member directory.

  6. Commence your application by clicking the button below application form 

2. Teachers

Teachers are required to make an application to join Rising Floor similar to Organizers. The application includes writing a short personal statement that will be published in the member directory, if approved.

3. Dancers

Dancers can follow a simple process of just registering their details and paying their membership fee. There is no application process.

3. Dancers
  1. If you are an individual social dancer who does not teach or run events, please follow this process.

  2. Please make sure you have read and agree to the standards that apply to dancers. 

  3. Make payment using this payment link.

  4. Once your payment has been processed, our team will review your application and send you your digital badge and other information relating to your membership. If you don't hear form us within 14 days, please reach out by email.

 


Basic Plan

Ideal for individual dancers and small dance groups who are just starting to explore the world of ethical dance practices. This plan provides essential resources and support to help you align with international dance standards.

Professional Plan

Organization Plan

Designed for large dance schools, festivals, and organizations committed to setting the highest ethical standards. This plan provides comprehensive resources and exclusive benefits for leaders in the dance community.

$50/month

Features Include:

  • All Professional Plan features
  • Priority support
  • Custom training sessions
  • Event promotion
  • Partnership opportunities
